The invention relates to a layer system (10) consisting of a solid electrolyte layer (11, 13) which contains zirconium oxide and conducts oxygen ions, and an electroconductive layer (12). Before the sintering process, said electroconductive layer (12) contains an additive comprising at least one metal oxide, the metal of said metal oxide having an oxidation number higher than four. The invention also relates to a method for producing a layer system (10) consisting of a solid electrolyte layer (11, 13) which contains zirconium oxide and conducts oxygen ions, and an electroconductive layer (12). Said electroconductive layer (12) is applied to the solid electrolyte layer and the layer system (10) thus created is subjected to a sintering process. The electroconductive layer (12) contains an additive comprising at least one metal oxide, the metal of said metal oxide having an oxidation number higher than four. During the sintering process, the metal oxide at least partially diffuses out of the electroconductive layer (12) into the region of the solid electrolyte layer (11, 13), which is adjacent to the electroconductive layer (12). |
