abstract The invention relates to polyorganosiloxanes with dicarboxy function having formula (I): X (R<4> R<5> Si O)p (R<6> A Si O)q Y, wherein X denotes a triorganosiloxyl end group or OH, Y denotes a triorganosilyl end group or H, R<1> to R<6> denote an alkyl or phenyl radical, A denotes the dicarboxy radical having formula (I'), -(CH2)3-CH(COOH)-CH2COOH (I'), or one of the salts thereof, p is between 0 and 1000 and q is between 1 and 100, the ratio of the number of H and OH end groups/total number of X and Y end groups being between 0/100 and 75/100. The invention can be used for the waterproofing of surfaces, particularly inorganic surfaces, and for the anti-corrosion treatment of metal surfaces.
