The invention concerns a cosmetic and/or dermatological composition comprising, as active principle, an efficient amount of at least a monosaccharide or a polysaccharide, constituting a pectic substance derived from a plant of the Lemnaceae family. The invention also concerns the use thereof, among others, for care of the skin and/or of skin appendages, its use for treating symptoms of skin aging as well as symptoms of skin inflammation and/or irritation. The invention further concerns a cosmetic treatment method for the skin using said composition. |
