titleOfInvention Method and device for drying and gasifying sludge
abstract The invention relates to a method and a device for drying and gasifying sludge, especially excess sludge from biological clarification processes, which method is carried out in a converter (1) and without intermediate cooling of the sewage sludge. The inventive converter (1) can therefore have a very compact design, a high capacity and can be operated in a substantially energy self-sufficient manner. For this purpose, a first microwave source (9) and a second microwave source (19) are provided and quickly and efficiently heat the sewage sludge in two steps.
