abstract The invention relates to a method for production of a polymeric material or a polymeric cement, which is coloured, obtained by polymerisation of an acrylic or methacrylic monomer in the presence of a peroxide type hardener and at least one decomposition activator of the tertiary amine type of formula (I), where R3 is an resonant electron-donating group which generates the colouration of the polymer or the cement during the polymerisation reaction and R1 and R2 are alkyl, arylalkyl or alkyidene groups. The invention further relates to a polymerisable composition and a preparation kit for an acrylic or methacrylic coloured cement and acrylic or methacrylic coloured cements particularly useful in the medical field as bone cement.
