titleOfInvention Substrates for hybridization and method of using the same
abstract A substrate for hybridization having, on the substrate surface, a dendritic nucleic acid chain a part of which is fixed on the substrate surface and which contains a main chain nucleic acid having a part in the single stranded form, and a single-stranded nucleic acid for a probe partly hybridized with a part of the single strand; a substrate for hybridization having, on the substrate surface, a dendritic nucleic acid chain a part of which is fixed on the substrate surface and which contains a main chain nucleic acid having a part in the single stranded form, a side main chain partly hybridized with a part of the single strand, and a single-stranded nucleic acid for a probe partly hybridized with a part of the single strand of the main chain nucleic acid and/or partly hybridized with a part of the single strand of the side main chain nucleic acid; and a method of testing the complementarity between a target nucleic acid and a nucleic acid for a probe or a probe domain by bringing the target nucleic acid into contact of the surface of the above-described substrate having the dendritic nucleic acid chain fixed thereon. Thus, substrates for hybridization having an increased surface coating ratio and an elevated activity and a method of testing complementarity using the same are provided.
