abstract |
This invention relates to the production of recombinant lysostaphin, in a homogenous form, through the use of recombinant DNA molecules that express homogenous lysostaphin and host cells transformed with these DNA molecules. This invention also relates to hte production of truncated forms of lysostaphin. The resulting lysostaphin preparations can be administered to those at infected or risk for infection by staphylococcal bacteria. |
