titleOfInvention Imd lead status monitor method and system
abstract A lead status monitoring method is provided by which the status of at least one lead electrically coupled to a processor controlled implantable medical device (IMD) is monitored and displayed. The method comprises inputting parameters and/or measurements indicative of or characteristic for the performance of the IMD into the processor; subjecting the parameters and/or measurements to a programmed analysis to obtain analysis results as to the status of the at least one lead; and displaying messages resulting from the analysis and relating to the status of the at least one lead. A lead status monitor system comprises an implantable medical device; a lead electrically coupled to said implantable medical device; a processor in said implantable medical device; a program implemented in the processor which controls the processor to carry out the monitoring method.
