abstract The invention relates to a method for purifying raw water-containing tetrahydrofuran by distillation, according to which the raw tetrahydrofuran is fed through three distillation columns, water is drawn off from the bottom of the first column, water-containing tetrahydrofuran is returned from the top of the second column to the first column, a side stream of the first column is fed into the second column, the bottom product of the third column is returned to the first column, and a distillate is removed from the top of the first column. The inventive method is characterized by the fact that a side stream of the second column is fed into the third column and the pure tetrahydrofuran is obtained as a top product of the third column.
