Remedy for infections |
abstract |
There is found out a novel pathway wherein 15K granulysin showing no cytotoxicity per se is incorporated into a macrophage and activated to thereby kill and injure bacteria having been incorporated into the macrophage. It is also found out that use of the above-described 15K granulysin as an active ingredient makes it possible to provide an efficacious remedy for infections which has little side effect and to which bacteria can acquire little tolerance. Namely, a remedy for infections which comprises 15K granulysin as the active ingredient. |
