abstract Compounds represented by the general formula (1) and salts thereof: (1) wherein A is alkylene having 1 to 2 carbon atoms or the like; B is an optionally substituted aromatic heterocyclic group or the like; R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, a hydroxyl-protecting group for synthesis of nucleic acid, a phosphoric acid group, or -P(R4)R5 [wherein R4 and R5 are each independently hydroxyl, hydroxyl protected with a protecting group for synthesis of nucleic acid, mercapto, mercapto protected with a protecting group for synthesis of nucleic acid, or the like]; and R3 is hydrogen, halogeno, hydroxyl, hydroxyl protected with a protecting group for synthesis of nucleic acid, or the like. The compounds are useful in the production of oligonucleotide analogues useful for antisense and antigene methods and intermediates thereof.
