abstract |
It is found out that megsin ligands are serine proteases. Megsin binds to plasmin and trypsin, which are serine proteases, and thus inhibits the activities of these enzymes. Hyperexpression of megsin is causative of renal failure. Therefore, renal failure can be treated by controlling the function of megsin with the use of these ligands. |
