abstract The present invention pertains to the field of genetic engineering of plant genomes. More particularly, the present invention concerns a DNA sequence comprising a RNR1b promoter E2F binding motif and E2F co-regulators such as the MYB and telo elements. However, the presentinvention concerns DNA expression cassette, a vector, plantcells and plant containing said DNA sequence. The present invention also concerns the use of an E2F binding motif or of a DNA sequence comprising an E2F binding motif to induce a S-phase and/or a meristem-specific expression of a gene of interest.
