abstract The invention relates to the use of polyhydroxy functionalized cyclic and/or acyclic alkanes with between 9 and 16 carbon atoms as adhesion promoters in composites consisting of a coating, a glued layer and a panel, in addition to a composite consisting of a substrate (A), a coating (B), a glued layer (C) and a panel (D). Said composites are obtained as follows: (I) a coating substance (B) that is curable physically or thermally, curable by actinic radiation or curable thermally and by actinic radiation, containing a polyhydroxy functionalized alkane of this type is applied to an uncoated or pre-coated substrate (A), producing layer (B); (II) layer (B) is cured alone or together with at least one layer applied below it (B-n), the latter layer consisting of another coating substance (B-n), producing the coating (B) or (B)/(B-n); (III) an adhesive is applied to the coating (B), in the area in which the substrate (A) is to be bonded to the panel (D) by means of the coating (B) and the glued layer (C), producing the adhesive layer (C) and (IV) the adhesive layer (C) is bonded to the panel and cured, producing the glued layer (C).
