abstract A polyvinyl alcohol film which comprises (A) a polyvinyl alcohol resin having a carboxy content of 1 to 10 mol% and (B) a polyvinyl alcohol resin whose 4 wt.% aqueous solution has a viscosity at 20°C of 1 to 10 mPa·s and which contains no carboxy group. The film is heat-sealable and gives a heat-sealed part with excellent water solubility.
