Highly shrinkable acrylic fiber, pile compositions containing the same and napped fabrics made by using the compositions |
abstract |
A highly shrinkable acrylic fiber which is made of an acrylonitrile polymer containing at least 50 % by weight of acrylonitrile and exhibits a shrinkage percentage of 25 to 35 % after dry heat treatment at 130°C for 10 min under no load and a difference between the maximum and minimum shrinkage percentages of 8% or below as determined after dry heat treatment at 120 to 140 °C for 10 min under no load; pile compositions comprising 20 to 80 wt% of the above highly shrinkable acrylic fiber; and napped fabrics made by using the compositions. |
