abstract As compared to a case when each one pixel contains sub-pixels of three colors R, G, B, an image display apparatus can constitute a pixel with a smaller number of sub-pixels, which are made to emit light by time division, thereby performing full color display. A manufacturing method of the apparatus is also disclosed. The sub-pixels are shared between the pixels and the sub-pixels are displayed by time division. Thus, it is possible to reduce the number of sub-pixels, form pixels with a higher density, improve image quality, and suppress the number of necessary components.
