The invention relates to a method of oxidising sulphur compounds present in gasoline, kerosene and diesel fractions. The inventive method comprises an oxidation step in which a reaction mixture is subjected to a reaction involving the oxidation of said sulphur compounds with an oxidising agent, which is selected from among peroxides, inorganic peroxides, organic peroxides and hydroperoxides, in a liquid phase without the use of a dissolvent, and in the presence of at least one micro- and/or mesoporous solid catalyst which is selected from among microporous molecular sieves, mesoporous molecular sieves and combinations of the two. Moreover, the invention also comprises a separation step in which products which have not reacted are separated from products which reacted in the reaction step. The channel diameter of the micro- and/or mesoporous catalysts is greater than 0.6nm and said catalysts contain Ti in the lattice and in non-lattice positions. |
