titleOfInvention Isolated peptide of the hepatocyte growth factor and its variants, preparation method and therapeutic use as anti-angiogenic agents
abstract The invention concerns a peptide substance selected from the group consisting of: (i) peptide N derived from the HGF alpha chain and having an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID No. 2, and (ii) its peptide variants derived from said peptide N sequence by suppression, substitution or addition of one or several amino acids. Said peptide N has an anti-angiogenic activity in accordance with a mechanism different from competitive fixation with HGF on the HGF-R receptor. The invention also concerns the therapeutic use and the preparation method of said peptide substance, as well as (i) the DNA fragment which expresses it, the plasmid containing said DNA and the bacteria containing said plasmid.
