Identification of s. typhimurium genes by software-based genome comparison |
abstract |
A comparison of genes that are inactive in a non-pathogenic microorganism but which are active in a related pathogenic microorganism has identified genes which may be used in therapy or diagnosis. Accordingly, peptides encoded by a gene from S. typhimurium that corresponds to any of those listed in Table 1, can be used in therapy or diagnosis. |
