abstract The invention relates to pipette tips having improved pipetting properties and a method for production thereof. For defined sampling and distribution of fluids, pipette tips or similar tools are often used. As a result of technical limitations, current commercially available pipette tips cannot pipette any small volumes without some contamination, in other words, with complete autonomous dispensing of the fluid for pipetting from the pipette tip. The aim of the invention is thus to provide pipette tips by means of which fluids can be simply sampled and dispensed without leaving a residue, using a method of simple embodiment, such that the required effect can be achieved by a simple surface modification of conventional pipette tips. It was surprisingly found that the above could be achieved by dipping the pipette tips in a solvent to which hydrophobic aerosils had been added.
