abstract | The invention relates to an antiviral medicament for use in controlling white spot syndrome in shrimp. The invention consists in using known molecules, the acyclovir antiviral and the methisoprinol immunostimulant mixed in a suitable formula and using a water-insoluble vehicle (calcium carbonate) in order to treat white spot syndrome. The therapeutic formulation is added to shrimp food in a dose of 2.500 p.p.m. (parts per million) and the prophylactic formulation in a dose of 1280 p.p.m. (parts per million). |
