A method for purifying N2-(1(S)-ethoxycarbonyl-3- phenylpropyl)-N6-trifluoroacetyl-L-lysine by subjecting N2-(1(S)-ethoxycarbonyl-3-phenylpropyl)-N6-trifluoroacetyl-L-lysine containing impurities to crystallization from a water-soluble aprotic organic solvent to thereby form crystals of N2-(1(S)-ethoxycarbonyl-3-phenylpropyl)-N6-trifluoro- acetyl-L-lysine with the impurities being dissolved in the mother liquor. This method permits the production of high-quality N2-(1(S)-ethoxycarbonyl-3-phenylpropyl)-N6-trifluoroacetyl-L-lysine in a high yield with high productivity, thus being suitable for practice on an industrial scale. |
