A novel process for producing nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP) which comprises using polyphosphoric acid or its salt and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) as a substrate and phosphorylating the substrate with the use of a polyphosphoric acid-depending NAD+ kinase originating in a mycobacterium, characterized in that the liquid reaction mixture contains fro 0.1 to 15% by weight of polyphosphoric acid or its salt and from 5 to 150 mM of a divalent metal ion. |
