titleOfInvention Polycarbonate resin composition for optical applications and methods for manufacture thereof
abstract Disclosed herein is a method for manufacturing a polycarbonate composition. The method comprises: melting bisphenol and carbonic acid diester to form a melt, polycondensing the melt in the presence of a catalyst, to form a molten polycondensed mixture, adding a sulfur-containing compound the molten polycondensed mixture, stirring the mixture, adding phosphorous acid, a second sulfur-containing acidic compound, an alcohol compound containing ester groups, and water to the molten polycondensed mixture to form a polycarbonate composition, and kneading the polycarbonate composition.
