abstract |
Improved devices, systems, and methods use a nonlinear optic NLO (34) to effect a conversion of an input laser energy (20) to an output energy (12). The output energy will have a wavelength that is different than the input energy, and the conversion will vary in response to both an angle of the energy relative to the NLO (34) and a temperature of the NLO. Passive control over the angle of the input energy (20) with respect to the NLO (34) based on thermal expansion of a member (40, 42) thermally coupled to the NLO (34) can compensate for the temperature-induced change in the conversion so as to maintain a desired output frequency, conversion efficiency phase matching, or the like, by changing the NLO (34) alignment angle (36) with respect to the input laser energy (20). |
