abstract |
A zinc-plated article being free from the occurrence of whisker having a multi-layered film which is excellent in rust resistance, self-recovering property and adhesion of layers; a composition for forming the multi-layered film; and a method for preparing a zinc-plated article being free from the occurrence of whisker having the multi-layered film. The zinc-plated article comprises a metal substrate and, formed thereon, a zinc plating film being completely free from the occurrence of zinc whisker and, formed on the zinc plating film, a rust-resistant, multi-layered film which does not use a chemical harmful to the environment such as hexavalent chromium and exhibits the excellent resistance to rust and self-recovering property being comparable to those of a film containing hexavalent chromium, and further has excellent adhesion of layers. Accordingly, the zinc-plated article can be suitably used for a variety of parts in wide electronic fields such as computer and communication devices. |
