This invention relates to T cell protein tyrosine phosphatase (TCPTP) and more particularly to its role in cell signaling and interaction with the JAK family of tyrosine kinases. In particular, the invention involves the use of TCPTP for the development of treatments for malignancies and autoimmune conditions involving inappropriate JAK kinase signaling as well as for the identification of inhibitors and activators of this phosphatase. |
