abstract |
A deodorant which contains as the active ingredients a jasmonic acid compound, such as methyl jasmonate or methyl dihydrojasmonate, and a nonionic surfactant such as a polyoxyalkylene ether compound. The jasmonic acid compound is highly effective especially in masking ammonia. It is usable as an ammonia-masking agent. A combination of the jasmonic acid compound and a δ-lactone compound is usable as a deodorant for excretion odors. A water-absorbing deodorizing material comprising a combination of the jasmonic acid compound and a highly water-absorbing resin is usable in many applications. |
