abstract The invention relates to a polyoxymethylene moulding compound containing (A) 0.1 -5.0 wt. - % of a colorant, (B) 0.01 - 0.5 wt. - % of a stabiliser that contains nitrogen, (C) 0.05 - 1 wt. - % of an ester from a polyvalent alcohol and from at least one fatty acid and (D) 0.001 - 0.5 wt. - % of a metallic salt of a fatty acid, (I) a polyoxymethylene polymer and optionally up to 40 wt. - % of additional conventional additives and variants of said composition obtained from advantageous embodiments. The choice of colorants for these polyoxymethylene moulding compounds is no longer restricted to conventional colorants that are specifically suitable for POM. The products manufactured therefrom are particularly stable during processing and are characterised by negligible formaldehyde emissions, surfaces devoid of defects and high colour resistance.
