titleOfInvention Method for destroying bacteria in a dry product
abstract The invention concerns a method for bactericidal and insecticide treatment of a dry product in particulate form, said product containing organic substances and having a weight content of water less than 25 %. The invention is characterised in that it comprises steps which consist in: 1/ introducing said dry product into a chamber containing an oxygen-free inert atmosphere, and comprising preferably at least 50 % by volume of a bacteriostatic gas, and 2/ performing a heat treatment of said dry product in a reactor comprising: 2a/ heating the walls of said chamber to obtain a specific bactericidal treatment by evaporation of the water contained in said dry product, then 2b/ cooling the walls of said chamber while producing a relative movement of said dry product with respect to the walls of said chamber to obtain re-absorption into said product, of said water and if any, of said volatile organic substances condensed on said walls.
