A fuel oil additive for a diesel engine with a DPF, which comprises a molybdenum compound and has a function to improve combustibility of PM captured by a filter of a DPF; a fuel oil comprising the additive; a lubricating oil composition for a diesel engine with a DPF, which has a sulfated ash content of 1.0 wt % or less, a sulfur content of 0.3 wt % or less and a molybdenum content of 100 ppm or more; and a DPF device for capturing PM contained in a combustion gas ejected from a diesel engine car and removing it by burning, characterized in that it is equipped with a filter having a molybdenum compound carried thereon. The additive can be used for improving the combustibility of a PM captured by a filter of a DPF, for burning the PM with stability at a relatively low temperature, for improving the efficiency of the removal of the PM, and also for prolonging the useful life of a DPF. |
