Copper chlorophyllin Na, iron chlorophyllin Na, etc. which can sustain an antibacterial effect over a long time and are highly useful in practice. To obtain various practically usable articles, which can sustain an antibacterial effect over prolonged utilization in daily life, by using the above compounds, copper chlorophyllin Na (B) having a highly sunlight-tolerant structure is extracted from a plant. For example, magnesium in chlorophyll contained in plant leaves is replaced by copper and then hydrolyzed with an alkali (Step S1). After separating (Step S2), the obtained residue (1) is further treated with a weak alkali (Step S3) and then pressed (Step 4) to give a pulp (3) and an aqueous pigment solution (4) each containing copper chlorophyllin Na. |
