A solid electrolytic capacitor which has a low ESR characteristic and uses solid electrolyte-formed capacitor element, wherein an anode foil having a porosity after etching of up to 51% or a cathode foil having a porosity after etching of up to 44% is used in a capacitor element to thereby increase the conductive portion of an electrode foil and decrease the resistance portion of the electrode foil, whereby, coupled with a low-resistivity solid electrolyte, a solid electrolytic capacitor having a low ESR characteristic is obtained. |
