Separation carriers containing β-1,3-glucane and/or methylcellulose; electrophoretic buffers containing the same; a capillary or microchip electrophoresis method wherein a sample containing a polymer compound is electrophoresed in the presence of the above buffer; a capillary or microchip electrophoresis method wherein a sample is injected by electrical or pressurizing injection ; a method of analyzing a polymer compound by the above electrophoresis method. These methods, by which high separability can be quickly established, are useful in high through-put screening analysis of proteins or sugar chains in gene analysis, proteome analysis or glycome analysis and applicable to clinical examination apparatuses and clarification of biological functions, disease onset mechanisms, etc. |
