titleOfInvention | Method for making hydrogen peroxide |
abstract | The invention concerns a method for making hydrogen peroxide characterised by the following steps: a) oxidising with molecular oxygen a liquid organic phase consisting essentially of a mixture of 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-3-pentanol and 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-3-pentanone; b) extracting with water the organic phase thus oxidised and separating part of the aqueous phase containing oxygen peroxide and the extracted organic phase; c) partly hydrogenating the extracted organic phase to increase its alcohol/acetone mol ratio; d) recycling the hydrogenated organic phase to step a). |
