abstract Smokable films, in particular tubular films, comprising i) an aliphatic polyamide and ii) a block copolyetherester elastomer are provided. A process for manufacturing these films is also provided. The films of the invention show excellent water vapor permeability at high temperatures and barrier properties at room temperature. They are suitable for preparation of tubular casings, in particular smoked foodstuff casings.
