abstract |
An endoscope for acquiring desired information on a tissue of a depth part close to the tissue surface of a biological tissue. A light source device (4) comprises a xenon lamp (11) which emits illumination light, a heat-ray cut filter (12) which cuts off heat rays of white light, a diaphragm (13) which controls the amount of white light passing through the heat-ray cut filter (12), a rotary filter (14) which transforms the illumination light into plane sequential light, which consists of a first filter set for outputting plane sequential light of overlapped spectral characteristics suitable for color reproduction arranged in the diametrically outer part and a second filter set for outputting narrow-band plane sequential light of discrete spectral characteristics from which desired information on a deep-layer tissue arranged in the diametrically inner part can be extracted, a condensing lens (16) which condenses the plane sequential light passing through the rotary filter (14) on the incidence plane of a light guide (15) arranged in an electronic endoscope (3), and a control circuit (17) which controls the rotation of the rotary filter (14). |
