abstract It is intended to provide IL-12 expression controlling agents, expression inhibitors and IL-12 expression potentiators for oral administration containing hyaluronic acid as the active ingredient. Interleukin 12 expression controlling agents containing hyaluronic acid as the active ingredient. More specifically, interleukin 12 expression inhibitors containing hyaluronic acid having a weight-average molecular weight of 600,000 to 3,000,000 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as the active ingredient; and interleukin 12 expression potentiators for oral administration containing hyaluronic acid having a weight-average molecular weight of from 50,000 to 400,000 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as the active ingredient.
