abstract The invention relates to novel agents for inhibiting tumour growth. Formoterol and the derivatives thereof are used as effective agents. According to the invention, formoterol and the derivatives thereof can be used to inhibit kinases associated with the COP9 signalosome, thus causing apoptosis in tumour cells, and also to inhibit tumour angiogenesis and metastatic spread.
