abstract | A method and apparatus for treating urinary tract infections in females is described. The method includes inserting a urine control device (40) into a vagina (32) of a female; followed by having the female urinate; and followed by removing the urine control device from the vagina. Preferably, the urine control device includes an anti-microbial agent (48). In one embodiment, the apparatus includes an absorptive device (42) for absorbing bodily fluids, and an elongated member (46) attached to the absorptive device for removing the absorptive device from a vagina.
