abstract |
Method for preparing a compound (I): from the corresponding amine and an ether L-R3 (where L is a leaving group), by mixing the amine and the ether and then introducing a nitrogen-activating agent which activates the nitrogen atom adjacent the isothiazole ring to electrophilic attack. The activating agent is preferably added gradually over a period of several hours and is suitably a nitrogen silylating agent. The method can enhance reaction selectivity. |
