titleOfInvention | Method for the production of proteins and polypeptides using fungal cells, in particular aspergillus vadensis |
abstract | The presence invention relates to a method for the production of a desired (expression) product by a fungal cell and/or a fungal strain of the genus Aspergillus, characterised in that said product is produced/expressed by a fungal cell and/or a fungal strain of the genus Aspergillus that essentially does not acidify the medium and that essentially has no (native) protease activity. In particular, in said method, a cell or strain of the species Aspergillus vadensis is used, such as Aspergillus vadensis CBS 102787., deposited on May 8, 2000 with the 'Centraal Bureau voor de Schimmelcultures' (CBS) in Baarn, the Netherlands. The invention also comprises fungal cells/strains, cultures, transformants and/or improved strains of the strains of Aspergillus used in the above method; as well as genetic material derived from said strains of Aspergillus, optionally in the form of a collection, bank or library. |
