abstract A portable noninvasive device (100) for monitoring heart performance is worn on a wristband (106) surrounding the wrist (102) of a patient (101) and is synchronized with a Holter system (116). The device (100) houses a blood flow sensor and a pressure sensor, and the results from these sensors are shown on display (118) or transferred to a computer (120) for further analysis, storage, or evaluation. An electromagnetic sensor may also be used with the device (100).
