The invention relates to the paraaminophenol derivatives of formula (I), wherein R?1, R2, R3 and R5¿ independently represent hydrogen, a C¿1?-C4 alkyl group, a C2-C4 hydroxyalkyl group, R?2 and R3¿ further represent fluoro, chloro, bromo, a C¿1?-C4 alkoxy group or a hydroxy C2-C4 alkoxy group, R?5¿ may also represent an acyl group having 1-8 C atoms or a group of formula (II), and R4 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a C¿2?-C4 hydroxyalkyl group, fluoro, chloro, bromo or a C1-C4 alkoxy group, and to their water-soluble salts, which are suitable as a developer component for producing an oxidative coloration. The preferred compounds are binuclear compounds, wherein R?5¿ represents a group of formula (II). The inventive oxidation colorants for keratin fibers, especially hair, contain the compounds of formula (I) preferably combined with further developers and/or coupling components and optionally combined with direct dyes. |
