abstract A method of printing an image onto a three dimensional surface is disclosed. An image is printed onto a transfer element (S12) and the transfer element is heated to make it more flexible (S26). The heated transfer element is vacuum formed onto an article to be printed with the image (S16) and the transfer element is heated to cause sublimation of the image onto the article (S20).
