titleOfInvention Method for determining the quantity of ligands that are bound to target molecules
abstract The invention relates to a method for determining the quantity of ligands that are bound to target molecules. Said method comprises the following steps: a) Preparing the target molecules and a mixed phase containing a predetermined quantity of ligands in native form, b) Bringing the mixed phase into contact with the target molecules and incubating said phase, c) Separating bound ligands from the mixed phase under conditions, in which the quantity of unbound ligands remains constant, d) Determining the quantity of unbound ligands in the mixed phase and e) Determining the quantity of bound ligands, by calculating the difference between the quantity of ligands as per step a) and the quantity of ligands determined as per step d), whereby the mixed phase as per step a) contains different ligands which act in part as a reference.
