abstract |
Medicinal compositions for inducing apoptosis in cells which contain a prostacyclin synthase gene as the active ingredient; medicinal compositions for gene therapy for cancer which contain the above medicinal compositions for inducing apoptosis as the active ingredient; and a method of screening an apoptosis-inducing agent for cells characterized in that the activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-δ is determined in the presence of a test substance. By using the above-described medicinal compositions for inducing apoptosis, diseases on which therapeutic effects can be achieved by inducing apoptosis can be treated. By using the above-described medicinal compositions for gene therapy, cell death of cancer cells can be induced. By using the above-described screening method, furthermore, a drug capable of inducing apoptosis can be conveniently screened. |
