abstract The invention relates to a transdermal therapeutic system in the form of a plaster, for the controlled release of oestradiol, alone or combined with progestogens, to human or animal skin. Said system comprises a back layer, a reservoir containing the active agent, said reservoir being connected to said back layer and a removable protective layer. The inventive plaster is characterized in that the reservoir containing the active agent contains ethylcellulose, ethylene-vinylacetate-vinylpyrrolidone-copolymer, polyoxyethylene lauryl alcohol and at least one substance which improves skin permeation.
