abstract The invention relates to biocidal polymers with a guanidine salt base, characterised in that they are representatives of the series of polyoxyalkylene guanidines and their salts and in that they represent a product of the polycondensation of the guanidine salt with diamines containing polyoxyalkylene chains between two amino groups. Apart from having a strong bactericidal effect, these novel polymer products have relatively low toxicity and high hydrophilicity, dissolve quickly and completely in water and have high relative molecular mass values and distinctive characteristics of polymeric surface-active substances.
